I would never wish to break the spell, the magic will always hold me
At times there are things I tend to forget, then current events remind me Four lovely years. Oh why did I not value the learning? Oh yes it's true, I did want to go, for a new adventure was dawning But I love to look back, yes it's great to look back, the memories remain so clear I will always treasure those happy days, the friendships so lasting, so dear. If I should ever stop looking behind me, forget retracing my track I hope you'll stop and remind me, show me it's fun to look back I love to re-live the old days, the operettas on South Parade Pier Those lovely days on Southsea beach and the songs we loved to hear So forgive me when nostalgia has a sad side as I put paper to pen It's just that those days were so precious but we did not realise it THEN!!
